About NAAG
Are there regional meetings of Attorneys General?
The Regional Conferences of Attorneys General each have a chair and a vice chair. Leadership in the three regions is selected at the summer meeting. The Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) selects its leadership at its summer meeting. CWAG has its own staff which is housed in the Office of the California Attorney General. CWAG staff members provide a range of technical assistance and support on Western issues for the Attorneys General of the region. The other three regions (East, South and Midwest) do not have their own personnel and are staffed by individuals in Attorney General offices, with advice from the NAAG staff.
The Western region traditionally holds a yearly meeting for Attorneys General. All Attorneys General are welcome. The Northeast Region traditionally holds a fall meeting; both the Southern and Midwest regions hold meetings on regional issues. Regional meetings are held in conjunction with the NAAG Spring and Summer Meetings.
