TAXI: Cabs are readily available at the airport – after deplaning, go down the escalator to the baggage claim area.  Cabs are waiting at that point to transport you to the Pfister Hotel, 424 East Wisconsin Avenue.  When leaving the Pfister, the doorman will bring up a cab from the taxi stand any time.  Transit time is about 20 minutes and the cost is usually around $30.00 or more if there are additional passengers and luggage.  There are two principal cab services in Milwaukee:  American Cab (414-220-5000) and  Yellow Cab (414-271-1800).  Cabs in Milwaukee are not often seen cruising the streets, but rather at specific stations – such as Mitchell Airport or the Pfister Hotel.

SHUTTLE: GoRiteway - Airport Connection- a public shuttle transporting passengers to and from Mitchell International Airport.  The shuttle departs about every 20 minutes from an area opposite baggage carousel #3 at the airport.  There is starter’s desk there, and agents on the floor directing you.  The cost is $14.00 one way, with a small discount for a round trip tickets. You may pay the driver in cash or pay in advance by credit card.  You may reserve your return trip at that time, or wait until you are at the Pfister and we will make the reservation for you.  The telephone number is 414-769-2444, choice number 4.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Milwaukee County Transit Public Bus – the cost is $2.25 one way, exact change required.  The Green Line bus leaves the airport on a regular basis and stops about 4 blocks from the Pfister.  Ask airport personnel to direct you to the departure location.  For specific times and routes, contact us directly, or go to the website, which has a convenient routing system, or call the automated line at 414-344-6711.
