Course Detail

Advanced Trial Techniques and Investigator Training for OAG-MA

Topic Description

The NAGTRI Advanced Trial Techniques will include lectures on topics such as advanced cross examination techniques including refreshing recollection and impeachment, Rule 4.2 and its application to the interview process, and preparation of experts. For most of the program participants will be broken into small groups for a series of interactive workshops. The workshops will take trainees through fact and expert witness preparation, direct and cross examination, and gaining admissions and theory testing. This training will run in conjunction with the NAGTRI Investigator Training, which will give attorneys the opportunity to work with investigators as experts in individual workshops.

Training Type

This is a mobile training. NAGTRI provides a number of different training platforms for the benefit of Attorney General offices. In addition to providing national trainings and webinars, NAGTRI also provides mobile trainings such as this one. During a mobile training, NAGTRI brings in a national faculty to provide staff training. Topics of this trainings are determined by the Attorney General Office hosting the training.

Course Prerequisites

This course is an in house training for OAG-MD.

Fee Requirements

Mobile programs come at the request of a specific Office of the Attorney General for an in house training.
