Course Detail

Human Trafficking for State Prosecutors: Atlanta, GA

The National Attorneys General Training & Research Institute (NAGTRI) of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) is conducting a tuition-free, one and one-half day training for prosecutors and investigators on Human Trafficking. The training will be limited to prosecutors and investigators.

Topic Description

The first day will include an overview of human trafficking, an introduction to the legal framework international, national, and state regarding trafficking in persons, partnership models, victim issues, investigatory and interviewing techniques, and prosecutorial theories and practices. The second day will include a discussion on prosecutorial theories and practices, an ethics discussion based on a human trafficking case study, and a workshop on developing a human trafficking prosecution.

Training Type

This is a mobile training. NAGTRI provides a number of different training platforms for the benefit of Attorney General offices. In addition to providing national trainings and webinars, NAGTRI also provides mobile trainings such as this one. During a mobile training, NAGTRI brings in a national faculty to provide staff training.
