National Symposium on the Reduction of CrimeThe National Symposium on the Reduction of Crime will be co-hosted by NAGTRI and the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA). It will take place on May 5-6 at the Westin Georgetown in Washington, D.C. Panelists will include law enforcement experts and policy makers, with attorneys general and prosecutors serving as moderators. During six panel discussions, our speakers will examine the best practices and most meaningful solutions for combating crime on a national and local level, in order to determine which factors most significantly influence crime rates and best reduce recidivism. Our goal is to have a balanced national dialogue, with a focus on practices that have had the most impact in the past. We will also explore new programs that are offshoots of successful methods, such as intelligence-based prosecution and new developments in community policing and community courts. The symposium will be open to the public for a modest fee.
This conference is opened to the public for a fee. For more information regarding public registration, please click here. If you are not awarded a scholarship, you will then have the opportunity to register as a paid attendee.
