OF JUSTICE, WISCONSIN AND MICHIGAN FILE ANTITRUST CASE AGAINST DEAN FOODS Attorney General Lisa Madigan today joined in filing a federal lawsuit that challenges last year’s acquisition by Dean Foods Company of one of its major competitors’ milk business. Madigan claims the acquisition presents serious antitrust concerns, which could adversely affect the price of milk for retailers throughout northeastern Illinois. February 1, 2010

Van Hollen announced today that he has signed onto a consent decree concerning the Ticketmaster-Live Nation merger, along with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Attorneys General of sixteen other states. • >> CORDRAY, U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE REACH SETTLEMENT WITH TICKETMASTER AND LIVE NATION Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray today joined the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and 16 other state attorneys general in a settlement with Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. and Live Nation Inc., requiring the companies to make major concessions in order to close a proposed merger announced early last year. • >> MASSACHUSETTS ATTORNEY GENERAL MARTHA COAKLEY REACHES SETTLEMENT WITH TICKETMASTER AND LIVE NATION OVER ALLEGED ANTICOMPETITIVE PRACTICES Today, Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley, along with 16 other states and the U.S Department of Justice (DOJ), reached a settlement with Ticketmaster and Live Nation that will restrict the merger of the two companies, allowing venues and consumers to benefit from increased competition in ticketing. February 1, 2010

Brown Jr. today joined sixteen state attorneys general and the United States Department of Justice in approving the Ticketmaster and LiveNation merger after requiring the two companies to agree to several changes that would create "a more competitive market" for concert tickets by allowing two new primary ticketing competitors. Gansler today announced that he, along with 23 other state attorneys general, has reached a $22.5 million settlement with pharmaceutical giants Abbott Laboratories, Fournier Industrie et Sante and Laboratories Fournier, S.A to settle allegations that the companies illegally thwarted competitors from offering cheaper generic drugs as substitutes for the cholesterolcontrolling prescription drug TriCor.
