Bill Wynhoff worked at the Hawaiʻi Department of Attorney General for 20 years and has now retired. He was the ill is the supervising deputy of the Department’s Land/Transportation Division. Under his guidance, the division represented both the Department of Land and Natural Resources and the Department of Transportation. The latter includes airports, harbors, and highways.

Bill also handled complex dispute resolution matters for all State agencies and departments. His cases have included resource protection, environmental, and constitutional matters. He has tried dozens of cases in state, federal, and administrative tribunals, argued over 40 cases in appellate courts, and worked on briefing and preparing several United States Supreme Court cases. Before joining the department, Bill was in private practice in Honolulu. His practice focused on complex real estate and commercial litigation.
