Founded over 40 years ago, the Executive Working Group on Prosecutorial Relations (EWG) is composed of six voting members from NAAG, the National District Attorneys Association, and the U.S. Department of Justice. The Working Group generally meets at least once a year.
The mission of the Working Group is to enhance the efforts of federal, state, and local prosecutorial and law enforcement agencies by:
- Promoting cooperation and information sharing among the various levels of government.
- Fostering an understanding of the different approaches taken by federal, state, and local law enforcement.
- Providing a forum for open and candid exchange of ideas and concerns among federal, state, and local agencies.
