Case Description
State of Texas intervened in previously filed private suit, alleging Xerox 1) organized group boycott to exclude competition from independent service organization (ISOs) 2) tied the sale of its parts to the sale of its services for copies & printers and 3) attempted to monopolize several markets. The case was referred to mediation and settled with Defendant agreeing to supply $225 million in Xerox certificates, payment of over $34M in attorney fees and costs and agreed to suspend its restrictive parts policy for six and one-half years and to license its diagnostic software for four and one-half
years.
