Case Description
Virginia sought damages and injunctive relief, alleging that Defendants conspired with other physicians to determine terms, conditions or requirements upon which any physicians will or will not deal with any third-party payor, or to discuss or collectively determine the fees which any physicians will charge to any third-party payor. In order to resolve the dispute without further litigation, the parties entered a Final Consent Judgment permanently enjoining them from conspiring to enter any agreement with any physicians or among any physicians, to negotiate, deal, or refuse to deal with any third-party payor on collectively determined terms. Furthermore, Defendants agreed to pay a total sum of $170,000 to the Office of the Attorney General.
