WHO: The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), with a membership comprised of the 56 state and territorial attorneys general, will host its annual Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C. Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen is the 2016-2017 NAAG president.
WHAT: Forty-four state and territorial attorneys general will meet in Washington, D.C. to discuss topics including data breaches, sentencing reform, and youth programs. Tuesday is the annual U.S. Supreme Court Perspectives Luncheon where two of the nation’s leading Supreme Court practitioners offer insight into cases before the Court.
The NAAG presidential initiative topic, “Evolving Challenges in the American Health Care Marketplace” will be addressed by Monday’s keynote speaker, Mark McClellan, MD, PhD, former FDA commissioner and former CMS administrator. He will be followed by a panel discussion on fraud, abuse and waste in healthcare.
