Washington, D.C. – The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) has named Staci Schneider as the organization’s new chief communications officer (CCO).
Schneider’s role as CCO will include leading communications with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing NAAG’s communications team, and providing strategic communications support for member offices. She will lead efforts to increase public awareness of the attorney general community and the important role state attorneys general play in protecting consumers.
“We are very excited to welcome Staci to the NAAG team,” said Brian Kane, NAAG’s Executive Director. “Her public sector and government communications experience, as well as her expertise in organizational growth and advancement, will help NAAG as we continue to advance our mission of supporting the work of all state attorneys general.”
Schneider comes to NAAG with more than 20 years of experience in communications and public relations in the government and public sectors. In her prior role, she served as chief of staff and deputy auditor for the Indiana Auditor of State. Schneider previously served as chief of staff, chief communications officer, and press secretary for the Indiana Attorney General’s office. During her time at the Indiana Attorney General’s office, Schneider was a recipient of NAAG’s Senior Staff Member and Chief of Staff awards.
Schneider has a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Indiana University Bloomington.
